Meet the Team – Brendon Healey

Feb 12, 2020

This is the second in our series of introducing you to some of our team members, which we hope you agree is a good way of helping us all remember that this business is all about people.

At Evolution, we recognise the importance of our people and work with them to ensure consistency with our ethos of being ‘easy to do business’ with and being ‘solution led’.

So, the latest member of the team we would like to introduce to you is  – Brendon Healey.

Brendon has been working with us for almost a year after joining Evolution back in May 2019.

Meet The Team – Say Hello to Brendon, Evolution Forwarding

Brendon is an apprentice focusing on all aspects of logistics and supporting various areas of the company. He is working towards his NVQ in business and is currently near to completing his IATA dangerous goods course.

At Evolution we believe in focusing some time towards recruiting and developing talent, especially in areas like the North East where the work-pool is not very large for logistics.

Working out of our Middlesbrough HQ, Brendon may be relatively new to the industry but he already has a good grasp of what is required.

We asked Brendon, as a logistics fledgling, what his initial feelings were about the industry.

He said “Logistics has certainly been a baptism of fire for me as it can be a very fast paced and busy industry where some days just fly by.”

“No matter how well you plan there are sometimes factors that you just cannot control like traffic problems and the weather, which means we need to come up with alternative solutions.”

That said, I really enjoy coming to work, learning such a critically important and interesting business and being part of a great team of people here at Evolution.”

“As we focus heavily on dangerous goods, we need to ensure our attention to detail is always 100% as the safety of others can be dependent on us. That responsibility drives me and the others in the team to continue to be better at what we do.”

Evolution Forwarding specialise in the packing, documentation, compliance and movement of dangerous goods internationally, our expertise and willingness to get the job done has positioned us second to none in this important area.
