Evolution Forwarding were proud to be awarded with the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) Business and Product Innovation Award in Newcastle on Monday,  in what was one of the last industry award ceremonies for some time.

The award is for product innovation in the North East region, putting us into the national finals which were originally scheduled to be held in London in May.

FSB is the UK’s largest grassroots business campaigning group, established 45 years ago, they ensure the voice of small businesses is heard at the highest level across the UK, as well as providing business services and products to their members.

The judges decided that Evolution’s innovative solution to moving hazardous cosmetic products, in airfreight consolidations, stood out from the other entries.

The journey to create the service, which was born out of the desperate needs of one customer, saw us designing specific packing materials, sourcing global selling agents for customers, building a distribution network and overcoming a number of costing obstacles.

Evolution Managing Director – Terry Goldspink – received the award on behalf of Evolution and commented “Its great to be recognised amongst an esteemed group of North East businesses. To win an award for innovation is particularly pleasing as our team are always looking to be creative and push the boundaries in a difficult industry.”

“I’d like to congratulate all the winners and finalists on their achievements and we look forward to representing the North East in the finals when they eventually take place.”

Evolution Forwarding specialise in the packing, documentation, compliance and movement of dangerous goods internationally, our expertise and willingness to get the job done has positioned us second to none in this important area.
