So why is nail polish classed as dangerous goods?
Since January 2014 when regulations changed, it is no longer possible to ship nail polish through the postal service internationally by Royal Mail. Most nail polishes are classed as dangerous goods because they are a flammable liquid, classed under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations as a Class 3 Flammable Liquid.
All dangerous goods which travel by air must be appropriately packed, marked and labelled by a competent person that has undergone the necessary training and passed the IATA Dangerous Goods Transport by Air examination.
